Why Thirteen Moons?
Thirteen Moons leans into the ancient calendar that honours the thirteen moon cycles throughout a full year.
It is my belief that the miracle of creating life does not just take 9 months, we are consciously creating life through conception, pregnancy, birth, the postpartum period and in to motherhood.
Thirteen Moons supports slowing down and really appreciating the gift of creating life, feeling held and supported in the transition of motherhood.
Thirteen Moons Birth is a sacred space where the ancient traditions of birth and women's wellness are intertwined with the modern journey of motherhood.
Honouring the feminine through the whole Thirteen Moons.
My Philosophy
Together, I guide women to embrace the fullness of their power, to learn to truly trust, connect and listen to their bodies and to give birth in a way that makes them feel seen, heard, safe and respected.
Something which has become lost in our current maternity system and I am passionate about changing.
I don't empower women; I help them embrace the power within.
Thirteen Moons Birth does not end with the birth of new life. In the tender embrace of postpartum care, I am there in the hardest moments, tenderly nurturing the spirits of new mothers, offering solace and support as they embark on the profound journey of healing and integration.
Drawing upon the ancient traditions of herbal wisdom and sacred ceremony, I honour the full spectrum of emotions that accompanies the transition into motherhood, guiding women towards a place of peace, acceptance, self-discovery and transformation, knowing they were held in the loving embrace of community and sisterhood.
I believe in mothering the mother.
I believe that women are wise and birth is sacred.
I believe if given the chance, a woman knows what she needs and how she wants to be supported.
I support families to bring their babies in to this world in a gentle and sacred way.
To me, this is traditional wisdom.
My Goals
I will encourage women to take control of their birth by knowing their rights and understanding the birth process so they feel confident to make choices that are best for their families.
I will give support in whatever capacity is needed to achieve the birth experience you desire.
I will help women reclaim the beauty, rites of passages/traditions and the sacredness of motherhood.
I will provide continued support throughout the whole journey. Your birthing bestie.
